1970 Rosewood Fender Stratocaster, a.k.a. Hendrix’s lost strat?
Just like they did for George Harrison a year earlier, the fender people had decided to make a guitar for Jimi Hendrix entirely made of Rosewood. Fate had other plans for Hendrix who passed away just after the guitar completion in 1970. The Rosewood Stratocaster never ended in his hands. Would the Electric Gipsy have enjoyed playing this heavy weight remains a mystery.
Would you crave for more details, here is the full story on the Rosewood Stratocaster.

2009 Rosewood Fender Stratocaster NOS.
Masterbuilt by Jason Smith, this superb Custom Strat is a copy of the infamous 1968 model. It is also entirely made of rosewood.
Usually only used on the neck because of its weight, rosewood has amazing tonal qualities. Guitars made out of rosewood are expected to have an overall warmer tone with soft highs and a deep, pronounced resonance.
